Lesson - 43

About Invoking Allah
Narrated Anas: My mother said, "O Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him)! Please invoke Allah on behalf of your servant." He said, "O Allah! Increase his wealth and children, and bestow Your Blessing on whatever You give him." a time of distress.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 80, Hadith 41)

About Eid!
Narrated Al-Bara': I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) delivering a Khutba saying, "The first thing to be done on this day (first day of `Id ul Adha) is to pray; and after returning from the prayer we slaughter our sacrifices (in the name of Allah) and whoever does so, he acted according to our Sunna (traditions)."
(Bukhari Vol. 2, Book 15, Hadith 71) 

About Hajj Reward
Abdullah (bin Mas'ud) narrated that: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Alternate between Hajj and Umrah; for those two remove poverty and sins just as the bellows removes filth from iron, gold, and silver - and there is no reward for Al-Hajj Al-Mabrur except for Paradise."
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Book 9, Hadith 2)

About Sacrificing
Narrated Anas bin Malik: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) slaughtered two horned male sheep which were mostly white. He slaughtered them with his hand and mentioned Allah's Name, and he said 'Allahu Akbar', and put his foot on their side."
(Jami`at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Book 19, Hadith 3)

About Talbiyah
Ibn Umar narrated: "The Prophet would say the following for the Talbiyah: "Labbaik Allahumma labbaik. Labbaik la sharika laka labbaik. Innal-hamda wan-ni;mata laka wal-mulk, la sharika laka." ('I respond to Your call O Allah! I respond to Your call. You have no partner. I respond to Your call. All praise, thanks and blessings are for You. All sovereignty is for You. And You have no partners with You).'"
(Jami`at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Book 9, Hadith 18)
