Lesson - 14

About Supplication
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of Hell, and seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the grave. Seek refuge in Allah from the trial of Al-Masihid-Dajjal, and seek refuge in Allah from the trials of life and death.”

About Embracing Islam
Narrated Abu Sa'id Al Khudri: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "If a person embraces Islam sincerely, then Allah shall forgive all his past sins, and after that starts the settlement of accounts, the reward of his good deeds will be ten times to seven hundred times for each good deed and one evil deed will be recorded as it is unless Allah forgives it."
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, Book 2, Hadith 34)

About being Fair
It was narrated that An-Nu'man said: "My mother asked my father for a gift and he gave it to me. She said: 'I will not be contented until you ask the Messenger of Allah to bear witness.' So my father took me by the hand, as I was still a boy, and went to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). He said: 'O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), the mother of this boy, the daughter of Rawahah, asked me for a gift, and she wanted me to ask you to bear witness to that.' He said: 'O Bashir, do you have any other child apart from this one?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Have you given him gifts like that which you have given to this one?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Then do not ask me to bear witness, for I will not bear witness to unfairness.'"
(Sunan an-Nasa'i, Vol. 4, Book 31, Hadith 11)

About Prayer
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I have been given five things which were not given to anyone else before me. -1. Allah made me victorious by awe, (by His frightening my enemies) for a distance of one month's journey. -2. The earth has been made for me (and for my followers) a place for praying and a thing to perform Tayammum, therefore anyone of my followers can pray wherever the time of a prayer is due. -3. The booty has been made Halal (lawful) for me yet it was not lawful for anyone else before me. -4. I have been given the right of intercession (on the Day of Resurrection). -5. Every Prophet used to be sent to his nation only but I have been sent to all mankind.

About Seizing Wealth

(Sunan an-Nasa'I, Vol. 6, Book 49, Hadith 41)

About Funeral Prayer
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) as saying: He who offered prayer over the dead, but did not follow the bier, for him is the reward of one qirat, and he who followed it, for him is the reward of two qirats. It was asked what the qirats were. He said: The smaller amongst the two is equivalent to Uhud.
(Sahih Muslim, Book 11, Hadith 70)
