Lesson - 11

About Trees
Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Amongst the trees, there is a tree, the leaves of which do not fall and is like a Muslim. Tell me the name of that tree." Everybody started thinking about the trees of the desert areas. And I thought of the date-palm tree. The others then asked, "Please inform us what is that tree, O Allah's Messenger ()?" He replied, "It is the date-palm tree."
(Bukhari Vol. 1, Book 3, Hadith 59)

About Shepherds
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Allah did not send any Prophet but shepherded sheep." His companions asked him, "Did you do the same?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "Yes, I used to shepherd the sheep of the people of Mecca for some Qirats."
(Bukhari Vol. 3, Book 36, Hadith 463)

About Reward
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: He who called (people) to righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhered to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who called (people) to error, he shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.
(Muslim Book 34, Hadith 6470)

About Oppressions
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "When the believers pass safely over (the bridge across) Hell, they will be stopped at a bridge in between Hell and Paradise where they will retaliate upon each other for the injustices done among them in the world, and when they get purified of all their sins, they will be admitted into Paradise. By Him in Whose Hands the life of Muhammad is everybody will recognize his dwelling in Paradise better than he recognizes his dwelling in this world."
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 3, Book 46, Hadith 1)

About Reward
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allah loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that earns His wrath.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 5, Book 36, Hadith 106)

About the Kaaba
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: While the people were at Quba offering the morning prayer, suddenly a person came to them saying, "Tonight Divine Inspiration has been revealed to Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) and he has been ordered to face the Ka`ba (in prayers): therefore you people should face it." There faces were towards Sham, so they turned their faces towards the Ka`ba (at Mecca).
(Bukhari Vol. 9, Book 91, Hadith 357)

About Mercy
Narrated Anas bin Malik: A Jewess brought a poisoned (cooked) sheep for the Prophet (peace be upon him) who ate from it. She was brought to the Prophet and he was asked, "Shall we kill her?" He said, "No." I continued to see the effect of the poison on the palate of the mouth of Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) .
(Tirmidhi Vol. 4, Book 1, Hadith 1911)

About Repentance
Abu Huraira reported from Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) that his Lord, the Exalted and Glorious, thus said. A servant committed a sin and he said: O Allah, forgive me my sins, and Allah (the Exalted and Glorious) said: My servant commited a sin and then he came to realise that he has a Lord Who forgives the sins and takes to account (the sinner) for the sin. He then again committed a sin and said: My Lord, forgive me my sin, and Allah, the Exalted and High, said: My servant committed a sin and then came to realise that he has a Lord Who would forgive his sin or would take (him) to account for the sin. He again committed a sin and said: My Lord, forgive me for my sin, and Allah (the Exalted and High) said: My servant sas committed a sin and then came to realise that he has a Lord Who forgives the sins or takes (him) to account for sin. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Leave him, for indeed the owner of the the right has the right to speak.' Then he said: 'Purchase a camel for him and give it to him.' So they searched out but they did not find a camel but of a better ager than his camel. So he said: 'Buy it and give it to him. For indeed the best of you is the best in repaying.'"
